La Grave powder day!
Wednesday, March 17th, 2010We woke this morning to over a foot of new snow in La Grave, which means at least two feet up high. A group of friends met at the lift line and we all had a blast skiing the pow. The amazing thing is these days seem to happen a fair bit in La Grave.

Spring skiing at L’Alpe D’Huez
Wednesday, March 10th, 2010L’Alpe D’Huez is about an hour drive from La Grave and provides great skiing on those warm spring days. John Kear, an American IFMGA guides, brought his guest along with for a grand day of skiing.

Skiing Montgenevre & La Grave
Tuesday, February 9th, 2010John Travis and Adrian Ball returned to La Grave for their second year to do some more skiing with us. We spend a few days skiing in Montgenevre, France. A great mom and pop ski area that doesn’t see much off-piste skiers and is also right on the Italian border. So we’ll ski into Italy for lunch and an espresso and enjoy all the amazing terrain nearby. We then spent another couple days back in La Grave and skied the ultra-classic La Voute Couloir and many others. Both John and Adrian met me a month later in Chamonix to ski off the summit of Mont Blanc. What a trip!

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009During a rare day off from guiding, Keith Garvey captured a blower ski day on February 10, 2009 with his helmet cam. He caught up with Liz and Miles Smart also mountain guides and Marmot athletes to take full advantage of this amazing off-piste ski area.
