Skiing and Snowboarding

Every winter we spend a large portion of our time skiing the fantastic mountain regions throughout Europe.  Starting in La Grave/La Meije, the mecca for lift-access off-piste skiing, we find a wealth of options for the intermediate to advanced skier with; majestic peaks, long glacier runs, couloirs, and great powder.  This small farming village in the south of France rivals Chamonix in terrain,  but feels like a polar opposite since there are no crowds! With no ski patrol, orange fences, or detailed trail map it is highly recommended to hire a guide well versed in La Grave’s terrain. Even after nine season’s of skiing in La Grave we are still finding new stacks and great adventure runs.

Come April, the best skiing and snowboarding is found up on the glaciers and high peaks.  With the help of plush, fully-catered European huts, we maximize the good skiing and incredible views by ski touring hut-to-hut.  We offer ski tours to the world famous Haute Route (Chamonix to Zermatt), the Berner Oberland – a striking ski tour through the impressive mountains of Switzerland, and a great ski mountaineering tour of the less populated yet still remarkable Ortler Circuit in Italy.  For small groups who want to tour on the majestic and more remote Tour de la Meije, we offer it as a private booking.

When the ski season seems like it might be winding down, we just take it even higher!  For strong climbers and those seeking to ski off the top of Western Europe, come ski Mont Blanc (15,781’) with us.  During this six day ski epic, we hit many classic Chamonix ski descents, stay a few nights in huts, and finally give Mont Blanc a go!  This one is not to be missed for strong advanced ski mountaineers!

Check out the detailed pages for these trips, and don’t hesitate to give us a call or email us with any questions.  We like making your trip preparations easy and ultimately look forward to skiing these timeless classics with you!
